AFTER CARE

AFTER THE PROCEDURE
Immediately after the procedure, I will apply a moisturizing barrier. The tattooed area will be darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined. This will last 3-5 days. Do not panic! This is normal.

Swelling and redness is minimal with most clients, and will disappear within 24-48 hours. In some cases, it may last around the eyebrow area up to three days, but will not prevent working or socializing. The treated area may feel like a sunburn, but will be minimally uncomfortable.

If you have symptoms of infection (this is very rare) such as extreme redness, swelling, fever, etc. you are advised to seek medical attention.

When washing your face, avoid using soaps or cleansers on the treated area. Only use lukewarm water to clean your eyebrows for the first week.

Wash your hands thoroughly before touching the tattooed area.

Keep the tattooed area  clean by rinsing with lukewarm water and patting dry with a disposable paper towel morning and night for the first ten days. Once area is dried, apply thin layer of barrier cream provided by me. The goal is to have your tattoo flake off naturally in small flakes.

Avoid sweating from exercise, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers for five-seven days following your cosmetic tattoo appointment

Do not apply makeup to the tattooed area for the first two weeks.

Avoid direct sun exposure during first 14 days. Wearing a hat while outside during this time is highly recommended.

Avoid swimming for the first 14 days.

Do not pick or scratch at the tattooed areas. Let the skin heal and flake off naturally. Picking at the tattoo can cause scarring or premature loss of pigment.

The complete healing process takes about four weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. During our six week touch up, we will discuss color, healing, and pigmentation. Microblading brows heal up to 30% softer than initial color.
